Job Description

The Senior Finance Manager will play a critical role in the financial planning and analysis of our client's residential real estate portfolio. Reporting to the CFO, this individual will be responsible for accurate financial reporting, planning, and analysis of assigned regions. They will help leadership make informed decisions on individual projects and implement a more rigorous planning and budgeting process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Maintain books and records, record transactions and accruals, and oversee all aspects of accounting, including treasury, financial reporting, and balance sheet management
  • Prepare month-end reporting of financial results to key leadership
  • Provide accurate cash flow projections on projects
  • Assist in identification and underwriting of new investment opportunities
  • Oversee lender reporting and compliance, oversee team tracking and adherence to reporting deadlines
  • Drive continuous improvement with financial reporting accuracy through ongoing reconciliation and variance analysis reporting

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with 7+ years of relevant finance experience. A CPA and/or Master's degree is preferred. Strong understanding of real estate investment ventures and the real estate development process is essential. Experience working for a residential development firm and proficiency in Excel with VBA coding/SQL knowledge are highly desirable.
