Position Overview
As a SAP Production Planning Specialist, you will engage closely with the Supply Chain teams to enhance and streamline SAP solutions and workflows. This role is crucial for the effective implementation of SAP's Production Planning module during initial rollouts. You will serve as the primary SAP authority, ensuring a smooth transition during the initial deployment phase, providing training for team members—including new recruits—and acting as the main point of contact for business users while liaising with the SAP technical team for any issues that arise.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead SAP Implementations: Direct the rollout of SAP/S4HANA solutions and processes across selected markets, emphasizing Production Planning and Execution.
- Ensure Timely Deliverables: Guarantee the on-time completion of project deliverables and enhancements.
- Conduct Analysis & Testing: Oversee user gap analysis, acceptance testing, data migration, and change management for SAP S4 HANA, in collaboration with the SAP team.
- Create Training Resources: Develop comprehensive project and user training materials in various formats.
- Facilitate Training Sessions: Lead system demonstrations, training workshops, and conceptual presentations to enhance user skills.
- Address User Concerns: Resolve user issues efficiently, either directly or by coordinating with the SAP support team.
- Manage User Permissions: Identify and allocate access for users based on their roles.
- Conduct User Acceptance Testing: Develop use cases, test scripts, and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Maintain Documentation: Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Supply Chain processes are current.
- Provide Regular Updates: Keep business leadership informed about project progress.
- Meet Deadlines: Adhere to timelines to ensure successful implementation and avoid delays.
- Additional Responsibilities: Undertake other tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Production Processes.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in SAP Production Planning and over 2 years with S4 HANA.
- Skills: Significant hands-on experience with SAP Production Planning as an end user, key user, or super user; advanced skills in MS Excel and MS Office; strong interpersonal abilities; capacity to work independently and in an organized manner.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry Background: Experience in a publicly traded manufacturing, CPG, or cannabis sector.
- SAP Project Experience: Previous involvement in SAP implementation projects.
