Job Title: Reliability (RAMS) Engineer - Engines & Avionics

We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability (RAMS) Engineer to join our team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our Engines business unit, you will be responsible for developing and implementing reliability and safety strategies for our propulsion systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and analyze reliability requirements for our engines and avionics systems
  • Develop and implement design-for-reliability solutions to ensure high-quality and safe products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate reliability and safety considerations into our product development process
  • Perform reliability analysis and testing to identify and mitigate potential failures
  • Develop and maintain reliability and safety documentation and procedures
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in system development, integration, or testing of aerospace products or complex electromechanical systems
  • 2+ years of RAMS experience in liquid rocket engines or avionics for space applications, or 4+ years of system safety, reliability, or RAMS engineering experience in any industry
  • Experience with reliability engineering for electrical components and circuit card assemblies
  • Knowledge of systems engineering practices throughout the product lifecycle
  • Experience performing system safety and reliability analyses, such as Functional Hazard Assessments (FHA), Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Reliability Block Diagrams (RBDs)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • PCBA manufacturing and/or avionics design experience
  • Experience performing worst-case-analysis (WCA), sneak circuit analysis, Fault-detection, Fault-Isolation and Recovery (FDIR) assessments
  • Proven technical expertise with liquid rocket engines and test facilities
  • Experience integrating sophisticated subsystems into a spacecraft, launch vehicle, or test facility
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range: $120,060.00-$168,084.00
