Job Summary

We are seeking a current student pursuing a degree in Safety to join our Corporate Safety team as an Intern for the summer of 2025. This internship will provide hands-on experience working on Safety projects and incidents for an engineering firm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in maintaining safety records, including Pre-Project Safety Plans, Job Hazard Analyses, training records, safety inspections, maintenance of the OSHA 300 log, maintenance of the Safety Data Sheet (SDS), Incident Investigations, and Safety Dashboard Metrics.
  • Assist in coordinating safety duties in areas such as safety committees, new safety programs, and safety initiatives.
  • Assist in creating and developing safety programs for OSHA compliance and with Benesch's Health & Safety Manual.
  • Assist with maintaining compliance with prequalification requirements of various subcontractor management platforms (ISNetworld, Avetta, independent clients).
  • Assist in promoting safe work practices and safe working conditions in accordance with all Federal, State, and Local regulations and client/contractual requirements.
Requirements
  • Actively enrolled in a safety-related degree program.
  • Ability to work 40 hours a week at the designated locations.
  • Proficiency with computer programs such as Microsoft Office Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication.
