We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Support Staff Assistant to join our team at the Dayton Area School Consortium. As a Support Staff Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational needs of our middle school students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide academic support to students in a middle school setting
- Assist teachers with instructional activities and lesson planning
- Monitor student behavior and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement strategies to support student learning
- Perform various administrative tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Active Ohio Educational Aide Permit or willingness to attain a permit
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff
- Patience and understanding when working with students
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Understanding of the importance of confidentiality when working with students
