Position Overview

We are in search of a dedicated Full-Time Lead Preschool Teacher for our esteemed TIPP CITY ENRICHMENT PROGRAM, recognized as a Gold Star Step Up to Quality Center.

Role Summary
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in classroom management and a thorough understanding of the Ohio Department of Children and Youth policies. A proven track record in developing lesson plans aligned with Ohio Preschool/Pre-K standards is essential.

Compensation
The starting hourly wage is $13.00, with potential adjustments based on relevant experience and educational qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing and executing curricula that cater to the developmental needs of students.
  • Regularly documenting and reporting on student progress.
  • Ensuring compliance with legal and educational standards to promote student welfare.
  • Creating and implementing age-appropriate educational programs.
  • Maintaining a safe and nurturing learning environment.
  • Utilizing various assessment tools to identify and address children's needs.
  • Modifying classroom routines and instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles.
  • Encouraging social and emotional growth through positive reinforcement.
  • Building constructive relationships with families and colleagues.
  • Conducting annual parent-teacher conferences to discuss student development.
  • Delivering a well-organized program that responds to the needs of participants.
  • Engaging in outdoor activities that may involve physical tasks such as bending, squatting, and lifting children (up to 50 lbs.).
  • Providing guidance and support to assistant teachers assigned to the classroom.

Qualifications

  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Preferred qualifications include a CDA or an associate degree in Education.
  • Ability to pass a BCI/FBI background check.
  • Must obtain a physical examination and proof of immunizations.
  • Completion of online orientation, CPR, First Aid, and Child Abuse training is required.
