Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Barista to join our team at Compass Group, North America. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and espresso drinks to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and serve coffee and espresso drinks to customers
  • Enter orders accurately into the Point of Sale (POS) device
  • Replenish condiments, beverages, and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of the service area
  • Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
  • Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies, and utensils
  • Ensure proper food preparation by using approved recipes and following prescribed production standards
  • Clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments
  • Greet customers courteously and interact in a manner to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Serve customers quickly and efficiently, and prevent delays in serving lines
  • Demonstrate a complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explain them to customers
  • Serve as an advocate of selling techniques to the customer by establishing good communication and assisting in the buying decision-making process
Requirements:
  • Previous barista experience is preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
