Pediatric Cardiac ICU Nurse Opportunity

Inova Fairfax Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit team within Inova's LJ Murphy Children's Hospital. This position is ideal for an RN with 1-2 years of PICU or PCICU experience.

Unit Overview

The Pediatric Cardiac ICU serves the needs of critically ill infants, children, and adolescents who require specialized heart care. Our team is staffed by highly skilled nurses and a team of intensivists from multiple subspecialties, including anesthesiology, pediatric cardiology, pediatric heart surgery, neonatology, cardiac critical care, and pulmonology.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care to critically ill infants, children, and adolescents
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of RN clinical experience in a Pediatric Critical Care setting
  • BSN, MSN, or ADN required; ADN must complete BSN within 5 years
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification required
  • RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a RN
  • Proficient in English, strong verbal and written communication skills
