Position SummaryThe Program Operations Manager (POM) serves as the primary liaison between KMC Systems and our clients, concentrating on the build-to-print and ongoing operational activities.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee transitional initiatives for new product launches and manage the planning and execution of ongoing engineering projects aimed at ensuring supply continuity and reducing costs.
- Facilitate cross-functional preparations for regular business assessments, including Steering Committee meetings, Monthly reviews, and Quarterly Business Evaluations.
- Lead a disciplined engineering team, monitoring all facets of program performance while possessing the authority to make decisions that ensure project success from initiation to completion.
- Utilize advanced electronics, optics, mechanisms, and software to enhance sophisticated medical instruments.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by adhering to program costs and project timelines, while guiding a team of engineers dedicated to supporting the program.
- Maintain communication with quality, manufacturing, materials, marketing, and finance departments.
- Act as the main contact for KMC Systems and our clients, ensuring purchase order coverage and communicating production schedule commitments.
- Engage regularly with Product Marketing, R&D Continuation Engineering, Supply Chain, and Procurement Engineering teams.
- Develop and maintain a product portfolio roadmap that outlines the sustaining efforts necessary throughout each product's lifecycle.
- Provide guidance to engineering personnel regarding project prioritization and execution.
- Implement and oversee resource planning and project management tools.
- Coordinate the selection and scheduling of project engineers for Operations initiatives.
- Support ongoing production, process development, and new product introductions.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to drive project success.
Prepare comprehensive technical reports, analyses, recommendations, and presentations that reflect the status and outcomes of ongoing projects.
Drive continuous enhancement of engineering capabilities while monitoring and evaluating project and departmental progress.
Ensure a safe working environment in accordance with OSHA standards and KMC Systems policies.
Adhere to U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, along with other regulatory requirements, company policies, operational procedures, and assigned tasks.
Foster positive and collaborative communication with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
