Job Summary

Overview:

The primary objective of this role is to provide individualized support to students in achieving academic success. As an Instructional Tutor, you will work closely with students to identify areas of improvement and develop tailored learning plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions to students in designated subject areas.
  • Assess student needs and design effective learning strategies to address knowledge gaps.
  • Communicate student progress to faculty and the Tutoring Manager.
  • Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and student remediation plans.
  • Develop and implement resources and practice materials to enhance student learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of tutoring services.

Requirements:

  • Experience in tutoring and/or teaching at the college level.
  • Equivalent combinations of experience and education may also be considered.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Instructor recommendation.
  • Peer tutors must be enrolled in at least six credits.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of instructional technology and ability to effectively utilize it.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
