Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dependable CDL A Test Driver to join our team at Technical Professionals Group. As a Test Driver, you will be responsible for testing prototype commercial vehicles and their systems in Dearborn, MI. This is a safety-sensitive position that requires all assigned personnel to be drug-free and pass a drug screen.

Key Responsibilities

• Test drive and evaluate pre-production test vehicles on 'real world' durability test tracks/local routes
• Conduct safety inspections and perform specialized test procedures
• Document findings on driver reports in a clear and concise manner
• Test medium-heavy duty trucks in a wide range of testing conditions, including engine, transmission, and durability
• Experience new technology firsthand and provide feedback to the development team

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A license and current Medical Examiners Certificate
• Ability to complete a full vehicle evaluation and document findings
• 8-10 hour shifts driving on designated routes while performing test procedures
• Participation in all vehicle testing, including driving and designated special tests
• Attention to detail and ability to document findings
• Operation of vehicles in an extremely safe manner, obeying all laws of the road
• Maintenance of safety and security procedures
• Comfortable driving in inclement weather and on highways and dirt roads
• Accurate communication of detailed findings verbally and legible writing of detailed findings on reporting forms
• Following directions and executing tasks
• Reliable attendance and ability to maintain a positive attitude and contribute in a team environment
• Completion of required trainings

Schedule

Weekends: 1st and 2nd shift
1st Shift: 5:00am - 2:30-3:30pm
2nd Shift: Weekend Friday 4:00pm 12:30-1:30am
