Role Overview
In this position, you will oversee, coordinate, and manage the safe and efficient functioning of a designated operational unit.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supervise and review the work of team members within the assigned unit.
2. Implement production strategies according to the approved timeline.
3. Engage in daily operational tasks, addressing complex challenges as needed.
4. Assess ongoing work, identify issues, and guide corrective measures.
5. Conduct performance assessments for subordinate staff.
6. Estimate staffing, materials, and equipment needs for upcoming projects.
7. Maintain an inventory of necessary parts and materials.
8. Authorize purchases of materials and equipment; keep records of time, materials, and equipment usage.
9. Educate staff on safety protocols.
10. Ensure safety data sheets are maintained for teams.
11. Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED with five (5) years of relevant operational experience, including supervisory or leadership roles; OR
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical mining-related field with at least one (1) summer internship in a mining or industrial setting.
- Additional certifications or licenses may be necessary for the role.
- Proficient in supervisory techniques and methods.
- Capable of resolving daily operational challenges related to equipment, materials, and procedures.
- Experienced in budget preparation and management.
- Ability to recognize occupational hazards and implement safety measures.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years in a leadership capacity.
- Prior experience with Hot Metals.
Compensation and Benefits
The estimated annual salary range for this position is $76,000-$104,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonuses, benefits, or retirement contributions. Actual compensation is determined by experience, qualifications, skills, and other job-related factors. Additional discretionary and incentive payments may be available based on individual and company performance.

Additional Requirements:
