Position Overview

Role Summary

As a Low Voltage Security Technician, you will be responsible for the installation and programming of various low voltage security systems. Your expertise will ensure the safety and security of our clients' premises.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and configure low voltage security systems, including fob systems, burglar alarms, and fire alarms.
  • Conduct rough-in wiring for security cameras, access control systems, fire alarms, burglar alarms, and telecommunications.
  • Install devices and program different brands of security systems to meet client specifications.
  • Perform thorough inspections and testing of all types of security systems, including fire safety systems.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of wiring, installation, programming, and testing of various security systems.
  • Possess an L6 or equivalent low voltage electrical license.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and pass background checks.

Learning Opportunities

  • Gain knowledge of computer networking standards and their application in security networks.
  • Learn the installation processes for a variety of security alarm systems, hybrid camera systems, servers, intercoms, and fire safety systems.
  • Develop troubleshooting skills for various security systems supported by our company.

Work Schedule

  • 40 hours per week, with an 8-hour shift from Monday to Friday.

Experience Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in fire alarm installation is required.
