Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Recreation Therapist Coordinator to join our team at Northwest Special Recreation Association. This is a full-time, exempt position responsible for coordinating and implementing recreation and leisure programs for individuals with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, develop, implement, and evaluate recreation and leisure programs for children and adults with disabilities.
  • Supervise and evaluate employees in collaborative programs at the site.
  • Represent NWSRA at meetings and advocate for the development of recreation programs.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate behavior plans as necessary.
  • Ability to work independently to solve problems and demonstrate dependability, promptness, and punctuality.
Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited college or university with a BA/BS degree in Therapeutic Recreation or a related field of study.
  • Current National Council on Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) or the ability to get certified within an allotted amount of time.
  • Knowledge of and ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities.
