Veterinary Imaging Specialist – Netherlands

Our client is seeking a skilled Veterinary Imaging Specialist or a Diplomate in Radiology.

In this position, you will manage and interpret a comprehensive array of diagnostic imaging techniques, including ultrasound, digital radiography, multidetector computed tomography, and advanced magnetic resonance imaging.

You will cultivate strong partnerships with referring veterinarians, sharing insights and maintaining communication through various channels.

Support will be provided by an MRI technician and a team of professionals in anaesthesiology and emergency care.

Your role will also involve mentoring, training, and providing continuing education to rotating interns.

About the Facility

The facility is situated in the south-western region of the Netherlands, near the coast, and features an Emergency and Critical Care unit alongside a Referral Centre. A dedicated ICU team, led by a Diplomate in ACVECC & ECVECC, ensures 24/7 emergency and critical care as well as perioperative support.

The team comprises Diplomates in ECVS, ECVIM-CA, ECVIM cardiology, ECVO, ACVECC & ECVECC, ECVD, and ECVDI, along with their residents, rotating interns, specialist interns, and senior veterinarians.

They are backed by dedicated veterinary technicians and uphold the highest standards in veterinary practice, emphasizing excellent communication with referring veterinarians and pet owners.

Available Equipment

The facility is equipped with all modern diagnostic and treatment technologies typical of a contemporary center, including CT (Canon Acquilion), MRI, direct digital X-ray, fluoroscopy, ultrasound (including Doppler), various endoscopic tools, well-equipped surgical suites, and a laboratory offering blood (gas) analysis, coagulation studies, cytology, and quarantine capabilities. A new MRI (Canon Vantage Elan 1.5T, featuring a compressed speeder package) will be integrated soon.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a dedicated veterinarian specializing in radiology or a board-certified radiology specialist. You should be passionate about delivering high-quality imaging services to our patients and eager to collaborate with other Diplomates and residents.

The ideal candidate will possess a desire to share knowledge, foster the development of others, and align with our vision for the future of veterinary care.

Strong communication skills are essential, along with a curious and innovative approach and a commitment to personal growth. Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is mandatory; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous, and we will assist you in learning Dutch.
