Recruit Island is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Imaging Specialist or a Diplomate in Radiology.
In this position, you will manage and interpret a comprehensive array of diagnostic imaging techniques, including sonography, digital radiography, multidetector computed tomography, and advanced magnetic resonance imaging.
You will cultivate strong relationships with referring veterinarians, sharing insights and maintaining communication through various channels.
Support will be provided by an MRI technician and colleagues specializing in anaesthesiology and emergency & critical care.
Your role will also involve mentoring, training, and offering continuing education to rotating interns.
About the Facility
The facility is situated in the south-western region of the Netherlands, near the coast, and comprises an Emergency and Critical Care unit alongside a Referral Centre. A specialized ICU team, led by an ACVECC & ECVECC Diplomate, ensures 24-hour emergency & critical care and perioperative support.
The team consists of Diplomates in ECVS, ECVIM-CA, ECVIM cardiology, ECVO, ACVECC & ECVECC, ECVD, and ECVDI, along with their residents, rotating interns, specialist interns, and senior veterinarians.
They are supported by skilled veterinary technicians and uphold the highest standards in veterinary medicine, emphasizing excellent communication with referring veterinarians and pet owners.
Available Equipment
The facility is equipped with all modern diagnostic and treatment technologies, including CT (Canon Acquilion), MRI, direct digital X-ray, fluoroscopy, ultrasound (including Doppler), various endoscopic tools, well-equipped surgical suites, and a laboratory capable of blood (gas) analysis, blood coagulation, cytology, and quarantine units. A new MRI (Canon Vantage Elan 1.5T, featuring a compressed speeder package) will be introduced soon.
Candidate Profile
We are in search of a passionate veterinarian specializing in radiology or a board-certified radiology specialist. You should be enthusiastic about delivering high-quality imaging services to our patients and eager to collaborate with other Diplomates and residents.

Exceptional communication skills are crucial, along with a curious and innovative mindset and a commitment to personal growth. Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is required; any additional language skills are advantageous, and we will assist you in learning Dutch.
