Job SummaryThe Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care under the direction of physicians. As part of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and assessing patients for provider visits, observing and recording patient responses to medical care, and collaborating with healthcare providers to meet patient needs.
Essential Functions- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Implement the plan of care by providing direct basic nursing care in accordance with LPN scope of practice.
- LABEL AND PACKAGE SPECIMENS APPROPRIATELY AS TRAINED.
- Assist in providing indirect care through various clerical or administrative duties assigned by the registered nurse.
- Act as a chaperone for healthcare providers during patient examination as requested.
- Assist provider with procedures, treatments, and interventions.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An active state Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure or LPN applicant status.
- A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Prior experience in clinical patient care is preferred but not required.
