Position Overview: We are seeking a qualified Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist specializing in MRI to join our esteemed healthcare team. This role involves operating MRI equipment and ensuring patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe MRI scanning environment, adhering to established safety protocols.
- Collaborate with radiologists to develop and refine examination protocols for optimal imaging results.
- Educate patients about the MRI process, ensuring their understanding and cooperation.
- Screen patients for contraindications and adjust procedures as necessary in consultation with medical providers.
- Administer contrast agents under the guidance of a radiologist, ensuring proper preparation and labeling.
- Utilize advanced imaging software and equipment, adjusting parameters to achieve high-quality images.
- Participate in quality control programs, reporting any equipment malfunctions or deviations.
Qualifications:
- Certification in general radiologic technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
- Advanced ARRT certification in MRI is preferred.
- Completion of a recognized diagnostic radiologic technology program.
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety standards and imaging techniques.
Physical Requirements: The role demands physical stamina, including the ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and assist patients in various conditions.
Work Schedule: Full-time, with specific hours to be determined.
