Position Summary:
The primary role of the Commercial Vehicle Operator is to proficiently and safely operate a commercial motor vehicle, adhering to company policies as well as Federal and State regulations, while ensuring the delivery of all freight in pristine condition. This position requires collaboration with team members to load, unload, and deliver materials, all while providing exceptional customer service.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of the truck and trailer to ensure safe operation.
  • Safely load building materials onto the vehicle and unload products at various job sites.
  • Deliver materials to designated areas as instructed by customers, prioritizing safety for yourself and others.
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with State and Federal regulations.
  • Report any accidents involving the vehicle or company equipment.
  • Demonstrate the physical stamina to lift heavy materials, up to 100 lbs.
  • Exhibit excellent customer service skills and maintain a professional demeanor.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Possession of a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
  • Minimum Class B License; Class A is strongly preferred.
  • Clear Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past three years.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Department of Transportation regulations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain stationary while operating a commercial vehicle for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift heavy materials, up to 80 lbs., during loading and unloading tasks.
  • Frequent movement of materials weighing up to 80 lbs. during deliveries.
  • Consistent operation of commercial vehicles and/or boom vehicles.
  • Effective communication with management and coworkers to exchange accurate information.
  • Work in an outdoor environment while making deliveries.

  • Ability to prioritize job sites and meet deadlines.
  • Manage stress effectively, especially under tight customer deadlines.
  • Multitasking capabilities to handle various responsibilities.
  • Quickly communicate solutions to problems as they arise.
