Position Overview:

Role Summary

As an Armored Vehicle Operator, you will collaborate with your colleagues to guarantee the secure collection and distribution of cash, coins, and other valuables.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate automatic armored vehicles and other designated vehicles along specific routes serving client locations.

- Maintain and service ATMs and Smart Safes.

- Execute customer service stops, which include delivering change orders and collecting deposits.

- Load and unload vehicle cargo, which may include multiple bags and boxes of coins.

- Accurately count items, document, and acknowledge receipt of cargo.

- Perform additional tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications

- Must be at least 21 years old.

- A minimum of three years of driving experience is required.

- Ability to obtain a Medical Examiners Certificate through a US Department of Transportation approved medical examiner.

- A valid firearms permit or the capability to meet relevant firearms qualifications may be necessary.

- Loomis will cover costs associated with security and firearms training, licensing, and permits.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position, typically requiring an average of 40 to 50 hours per week, with a minimum of five days worked within a six-day period.

Weekend work may be required on occasion.

Approximately 90-95% of the work will be conducted in climate-controlled vehicles, within both front and rear compartments.

Essential Duties/Job Requirements As part of the qualification process for the Armored Vehicle Operator role, candidates must complete a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE).

This evaluation includes successful completion of tests in the following areas:

Lift:

  • 25lbs vertical lift from 10 inches to 66 inches from the floor (1X)

Lift-Carry:

  • 18lbs vertical lift from 1 inch to 44 inches from the floor, and horizontally transfer 15ft (4X)
  • 18lbs vertical lift from 10 inches to 36 inches from the floor and horizontally transfer 300ft (1X)
  • 50lbs vertical lift from 10 inches to 36 inches from the floor and horizontally transfer 2ft (2X)

Push-Pull:

  • Horizontally transfer 47lbs of force on a sled (single, nondominant arm), a distance of 1ft (2X)

Repetitive Coupling:

  • Squeeze Jamar Hand Dynamometer requiring forces up to 30lbs / both right & left hands (4X)

Climb:

  • Ascend / Descend a step with heights of & 24 inches from the floor (10X)
