Job Overview

The Electrical Hardware Design Specialist will be responsible for designing and developing innovative hardware solutions for a wide range of applications. This includes working with customers and project leads to refine requirements, developing detailed analog, RF, power, and digital circuit designs, and testing and integrating new hardware in real-life environments.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop innovative hardware solutions for various applications.
  • Collaborate with customers and project leads to refine requirements and ensure successful project execution.
  • Develop detailed analog, RF, power, and digital circuit designs using industry-standard tools and software.
  • Test and integrate new hardware in real-life environments to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software, mechanical, and test engineers, to deliver comprehensive solutions.
  • Produce high-quality design release packages for delivery to customers, including manufacturing packages and qualification and manufacturing test fixtures and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to discuss project status, resolve problems, and provide updates on project progress.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in hardware development, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.
  • Strong expertise in printed circuit board design, with knowledge of PCB layout tools and Gerber viewers.
  • Experience with hardware/software system integration and thorough understanding of networking protocols and techniques.
  • Familiarity with software and scripting languages, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and customer satisfaction.
Preferred Skills
  • Proficiency in OrCAD or PADS PowerLogic schematic capture, with familiarity with PCB layout tools and Gerber viewers.
  • Experience with Matlab signal processing and system simulation, Spice, EEsof or equivalent RF simulation, and HyperLynx signal integrity analysis.
  • Familiarity with digital logic design tools, including Xilinx ISE and EDK, Alterra Quartus and SOPC Builder, ModelSim simulation, and Synplicity synthesis.
Compensation

We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 - $160,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
