Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Video Marketing Producer to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As a key member of our Communications Division, you will be responsible for building and maintaining our brand through strategic visual storytelling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Concept, plan, manage, capture, edit, caption, publish, and archive videos and footage, audio, and graphics.
  • Meet project objectives, manage projects in different stages of production, and use a variety of cinematographic techniques.
  • Edit to deadline, work alongside student and freelance resources, and effectively balance an array of video and photo requests from across the division.
  • Consult with campus stakeholders, collaborate with divisional colleagues, participate in and contribute to content development, tailor content to different audiences, and leverage divisional processes for delivering on-time projects and related footage.
  • Plan and implement video and graphic content for our social media channels and websites, including news and storytelling, event coverage, and special assignments.
Requirements
  • BS/BA degree from an accredited college or university in photography, videography, journalism, advertising, communications, marketing, or PR.
  • At least five years of professional experience in a videographic and graphics field.
  • Videographic skills, including extensive knowledge of both the artistic and technical qualities of videography, ability to produce long-form videos, and proficiency with videographic equipment and software.
  • Graphic and design skills, including proficiency with still and motion graphics, Adobe Creative Suite, and Mac and PC platforms.
  • Management skills, including proven project-management and organizational skills, strong creative-thinking mindset, and ability to work under pressure and set priorities within a fast-paced environment.
  • Interpersonal skills, including an outgoing and engaging personality, strong work ethic, and ability to work well with others from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strategic skills, including demonstrated ability to assess videographic and photographic activities and performance, identify strategic opportunities, and develop effective programs to advance departmental and institutional objectives.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds of equipment around a College campus.
  • Interest and ability to secure drone certification if not already in hand at the time of appointment.
