Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as an Oncology Nurse Infusion Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administering chemotherapy treatments with precision and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer chemotherapeutic agents to patients as ordered by physicians, adhering to ONS standards and guidelines.
  • Ensure accurate and safe disposal of biohazardous waste, following OSHA and HRS guidelines.
  • Conduct ongoing patient assessments and document treatment rendered in OncoEMR.
  • Follow Company policies and procedures, including I.D. policy and procedure, to ensure patient confidentiality and safety.
  • Teach chemotherapy classes and educate patients and families about medications, side effects, and treatment plans.
  • Provide telephone triage and respond to patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with inventory and restocking medical supplies, recommending purchases as needed.
  • Have working knowledge of dispensing medications via Nucleus and perform cycle counts.
  • Enter patient charges into Nucleus and maintain accurate records.
  • Attend mandatory staff meetings and participate in training new employees.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse, licensed in the State of employment, with experience in IV therapy.
  • Experience working with hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital setting.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to react calmly in emergency situations.
  • Current CPR & BLS certifications.
  • Fluency in English with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Valid Driver's license for travel to clinics.
