Job Description

As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the Store Manager in all operational and leadership aspects of the store. This includes driving sales and customer satisfaction, training and coaching store associates, and maintaining store appearance and merchandising standards.

Responsibilities
  1. Operational Management: Assist the Store Manager in managing daily store operations, including sales floor supervision, visual merchandising, and inventory control.
  2. Sales and Customer Service: Drive sales growth by providing exceptional customer service, building strong relationships with customers, and implementing sales strategies to meet sales targets.
  3. Leadership Development: Train and coach store associates to develop their skills and knowledge, ensuring they have the tools needed to deliver exceptional customer service.
  4. Store Maintenance: Maintain the store's appearance and merchandising standards, ensuring a clean, organized, and visually appealing shopping environment.
  5. Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and controlling inventory, to minimize losses and maximize sales.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of retail sales or customer service experience required.
  • Some previous supervisory experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong leadership and customer management abilities.
  • Customer service-oriented with in-depth knowledge of basic business management processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is $33,220 - $43,680, based on the location in Rapid City and the job requirements.
