Job Summary

Pensacola State College is seeking a qualified Electrical Instructor to join our team. As an Electrical Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching occupational skills and knowledge to students in the Electricity program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach occupational skills and knowledge to students in the Electricity program
  • Assist with curriculum updates and development
  • Demonstrate occupational materials, tools, equipment, and processes to students
  • Instruct students in safety precautions and the safe operation and use of tools and equipment
  • Control the storage, maintenance, and use of materials and property to prevent loss or abuse
  • Establish and maintain standards of student conduct to provide an orderly, safe, and productive environment in the classroom
Requirements
  • Graduation from a regionally accredited institution with an Electricity Certification or License
  • Three years of experience in the Electricity field
  • Proficiency with installation and repair of various types of commercial and residential wiring systems
  • Working knowledge of residential and commercial Electricity, local building code requirements, OSHA and EPA regulations, and job site safety
  • Reliable transportation
  • NCCER Craft Instructor Certification and prior teaching experience are preferred but not required
