Sales Counter Representative

The Counter Sales Associate plays a crucial role in the customer experience at our retail locations. As the initial point of contact, you will represent Airgas and assist customers with their needs for medical, industrial, and specialty gases, as well as welding equipment and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with walk-in and phone customers to identify their product requirements and provide assistance in locating items.
- Process sales transactions accurately and maintain all necessary documentation in a timely manner.
- Utilize computer systems to enter sales and quote data, while also researching product information for customers.
- Handle payment transactions and ensure compliance with all administrative and accounting procedures.
- Restock merchandise and organize displays to maintain an orderly sales environment.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the showroom according to management guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in sales, warehouse operations, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficient in Google and/or MS Office applications.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations relevant to the industry.
- Experience in the gas, welding, and safety supply sectors is advantageous.
