Purpose of the Role:
This position plays a crucial role in assisting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities by facilitating daily meal services, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks.

Key Responsibilities:
Ensure accurate portion sizes are served according to dietary requirements, therapeutic diets, and special meal instructions. Maintain stock of food and supplies; ensure proper sealing, dating, and labeling. Notify supervisors of any inventory shortages. Exhibit knowledge of safety protocols while using kitchen equipment. Adhere to sanitation and infection control standards, as well as relevant regulations. Record temperatures for refrigeration units, dishwashers, and food items. Follow snack distribution lists and ensure proper sealing, dating, and labeling. Ensure timely meal service and assist in the dining area during meal delivery.

Qualifications Required:
Ability to comprehend and follow both written and verbal instructions.
Must be at least 16 years of age.

Must be capable of performing physical tasks such as stretching, pushing, pulling, kneeling, reaching, twisting, walking, and standing for extended periods, up to three times per week.


Preferred Qualifications:
Experience of at least 6 months working with individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities is preferred.

Compensation:
$17.00 per hour

Work Environment:
+ Frequent bending and standing + Ability to stretch, push, pull, kneel, reach, twist, walk + Ability to lift unassisted at least thirty-five (35) lbs
