Ultrasound Technologist Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ultrasound Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging Department at Grand Itasca. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing ultrasound procedures, maintaining patient records, and providing instruction and guidance to staff and students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform ultrasound procedures on patients of all ages, including pediatrics, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.
  • Instruct and prepare patients for ultrasound procedures.
  • Operate equipment accurately and efficiently, optimizing gain and display settings.
  • Obtain and prepare images for reading, performing quality assurance and preventive safety testing as required.
  • Work closely with radiologists to develop ultrasound protocols and assist with scheduling appointments.
  • Maintain patient records and RIS/PACS competency.
  • Provide instruction and guidance to staff and/or students in ultrasound procedures.
Requirements:
  • ARDMS registered or obtained post-completion of competencies within 1 year.
  • Basic Life Support certified or obtained within 4 months.
  • Good computer skills and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow and adhere to Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital policies, vision, mission, and values.
  • Maintains reliable and consistent attendance.
