Position Overview:

CPI Radant Technologies is seeking a qualified Manufacturing Quality Engineer II, focusing on composite materials for both commercial and governmental aerospace projects. This position is centered on enhancing the production of Radomes and other composite elements by establishing and upholding quality assurance protocols, assessing production workflows for effectiveness and dependability, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to resolve quality challenges and promote ongoing enhancements. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in aerospace engineering, quality assurance methodologies, and manufacturing practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Quality and Manufacturing Engineering support across diverse programs, product lines, and production processes, primarily concentrating on airborne products.
  • Facilitate objectives related to customer satisfaction, regulatory adherence, and market competitiveness.
  • Engage regularly with Program Management, Engineering, Operations, and Customers to ensure comprehension, documentation, and execution of CPI Radant's Quality Management System and contractual quality stipulations.
  • Demonstrate experience with Airborne Customer Documentation requirements and FAA Certification initiatives, including FAA Conformity Inspections and collaboration with regulatory bodies.
  • Formulate Qualification, Reliability, and FMEA plans/processes.
  • Participate in new product development efforts.
  • Act as a liaison with customers and regulatory bodies regarding all program activities.
  • Support Engineering and Operations to guarantee compliance with pertinent quality management system standards.
  • Assist subcontractors in confirming adherence to quality requirements, including reviewing trend analyses and conducting root cause and corrective action analyses.
  • Conduct design reviews to evaluate inspectability, consistency, adequacy, accuracy, and compliance with customer specifications, providing recommendations for enhancements.
  • Analyze product and process failures, ensuring effective root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective and preventive measures for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to ensure the transition of new products to Production aligns with approved specifications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aerospace, or a related field from an accredited institution, along with a minimum of two years of relevant experience.
  • At least 2 years of pertinent experience.
  • Proficient in standard software applications, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Experience in new product development is essential.
  • Familiarity with quality concepts and tools such as Six Sigma, Total Quality Management (TQM), Quality Function Deployment (QFD), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), and Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI).
  • Understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles and systems integration.
  • Knowledge of government and industry specifications, standards, and regulations applicable to complex systems.
  • Familiarity with AS9100D standards.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior experience in the aerospace sector is highly desirable.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer credential is a plus.
  • Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) is advantageous.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent analytical capabilities, especially with Excel.
  • Outstanding communication skills in written, verbal, and presentation formats.

Compensation and Benefits:
