About the Role

CPI Radant Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Quality Assurance Engineer II to join our team. This role will focus on supporting the production of Radomes and other composite components by implementing and maintaining quality control procedures, analyzing production processes for efficiency and reliability, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Quality and Manufacturing Engineering support across various programs, product lines, and production process areas, with a primary focus on Airborne products.
  • Support objectives related to customer advocacy, regulatory compliance, and competitiveness.
  • Regularly interface with Program Management, Engineering, Operations, and Customers to ensure understanding, documentation, flow-down, and implementation of CPI Radant's Quality Management System and contractually defined quality requirements.
  • Develop Qualification, Reliability, and FMEA plans/processes.
  • Experience with new product development initiatives.
  • Serve as a liaison with customers, DER's, DAR's, MIDO, and suppliers on all program activities.
  • Support Engineering and Operations to ensure compliance with relevant quality management system requirements.
  • Participate in supporting subcontractors to confirm compliance with quality requirements, including reviewing trend analyses, conducting root cause and corrective action analyses, and initiating corrective/preventive actions.
  • Conduct design review activities, assessing inspectability, consistency, adequacy, accuracy, and conformance to customer requirements, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Analyze product and process failures, ensuring effective root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions for internal and external customers, including performing MRB duties and participating in continual improvement activities such as 5S and Kaizen lean methods.
  • Interface with Engineering and Operations to ensure the transfer to Production of new products aligns with approved data.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aerospace, or equivalent discipline from a four-year college or university, along with a minimum of two years of related experience and/or training.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in computer application software, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Experience with new product development is required.
  • Working knowledge of quality concepts and tools such as Six Sigma, Total Quality Management (TQM), Quality Function Deployment (QFD), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM - Faro Arm), and Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI).
  • Understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles and systems integration.
  • Familiarity with government and industry specifications, standards, and regulations, especially as they apply to complex systems.
  • Knowledge of AS9100D requirements.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Preferred Additional Skills
  • Prior Aerospace experience is highly desired.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer credential.
  • Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Windows interface and the Microsoft Office package (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).
  • Excellent analytical skills, particularly with Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills in written, verbal, and presentation formats.
