About the Role

The University of California, Irvine is seeking a skilled and compassionate Pulmonary Care Assistant Senior to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction and safety.
  • Perform various tasks within the scope of practice, including vital sign monitoring, medication administration, and wound care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest clinical practices and technologies.
Requirements
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of California.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms.
