Job Summary

The Med/Surg Pulmonary Registered Nurse provides direct patient care, in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, to assigned patients in the Med/Surg Pulmonary department. The ideal candidate is a supportive, compassionate, efficient, detail-oriented team player with excellent interpersonal skills and who collaboratively maintains a plan of care for highly vulnerable patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to assigned patients in the Med/Surg Pulmonary department
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain a plan of care for patients
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff

Requirements

• Current California R.N. license
• Current American Heart Association BLS
• Recent acute care experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms
