Administrative Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at the Federal Aviation Administration. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to our programs and policies, ensuring the effective management of our administrative services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to our programs and policies, including coordinating personnel actions, maintaining organizational systems, and collecting and compiling financial information.
- Initiate and review procurement requests for equipment and other items as needed.
- Ensure effective management and internal controls of assigned agency property through periodic inventories.
- Perform time and attendance duties for a large group of employees with varying and/or frequently changing working times, shifts, schedules, premium pay entitlements, pay systems, position tenure, and/or collective bargaining unit differences.
- Utilize travel system to initiate, complete, review, and validate travel authorizations and vouchers to ensure compliance with governing guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with facility, regional, and service area facility security guidelines and policies governing the issuance of keys, parking decals, identification badges, proximity cards, and other access credentials for FAA employees, contract employees, and visitors.
- Independently use a variety of software to prepare narrative and statistical reports, graphs, and charts.
- Applicants must have experience analyzing information on a variety of programs and preparing reports, providing guidance and interpretation of administrative, financial, or budget policies, and assisting with various analytical studies.
- Education may not be substituted for experience.
- Applicants must be able to work at multiple locations to provide administrative support within the district depending on the needs of the facility.
The work is reviewed periodically, typically through status reports and at completion, to ensure policy compliance and alignment with the requirements of projects and/or work activities.
The work impacts the effectiveness and efficiency of administrative services provided to facilities geographically dispersed through a district.
The work activities typically support multiple projects/programs and contribute to the objectives of one or more organizational units and/or major subdivisions.
Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.

Specialized experience may include analyzing information on a variety of programs and preparing reports, providing guidance and interpretation of administrative, financial, or budget policies, assisting with various analytical studies.
Education may not be substituted for experience.
