About Corona RCFE
At Corona RCFE, we believe that providing exceptional care and support to our residents is at the heart of everything we do. As a Med Tech/Caregiver, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents, working closely with our healthcare team to deliver high-quality care and services.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications to residents under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse or a licensed practical/vocational nurse.
- Verify the identity of residents receiving medication and record the name of the drug, dosage, and time of administration on specified forms or records.
- Clarify any order or treatment regimen believed to be inaccurate, ineffective, or contraindicated by consulting with the appropriate licensed practitioner. Notify the supervisor when making the decision not to administer.
- Take and record vital signs upon administration of medications when required.
- Order and re-order medications and return all discharge medications for credit in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly medication room and cart. Take appropriate precautions to ensure residents/patients do not have access to medications other than those prescribed.
- Complete required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
Requirements
- 1-2 years' experience in a related position, preferably in a healthcare environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent desirable.
- Successful completion of a state-approved course and approval to administer oral and external medication.
