As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing engineering initiatives and capital project execution at our facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee a portfolio of medium to large-scale capital projects, ensuring collaboration across various teams for successful outcomes.
- Implement project management best practices utilizing a structured stage-gate framework and risk management strategies.
- Supervise field construction activities, maintaining excellence in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards throughout all project phases.
- Lead safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Engage in Process Hazard Analysis and other safety management activities.
- Provide technical support and inspection for new equipment fabrication and refurbishment projects.
- Manage multiple projects of varying complexity, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis and Failure Analysis to enhance project outcomes.
- Regularly assess project progress, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Communicate project status and technical issues to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with leadership priorities.
- Ensure that projects meet operational requirements and strategic objectives.
Qualifications:
Preferred candidates will possess a Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degree from an accredited institution, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience. Experience in project engineering or management, particularly in capital projects, is essential. Familiarity with construction processes is advantageous. PMP certification is a plus.
Knowledge of applicable regulations and industry standards is required, along with a strong understanding of rotating equipment utilized in operational settings.
Exceptional communication skills are necessary, with a proven ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. Candidates should demonstrate a collaborative approach, strong prioritization skills, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required, and knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred.
