Position Overview:
The Culinary Specialist plays a vital role in the kitchen, responsible for crafting a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes for both dining and room service. This position demands a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

Additionally, the Culinary Specialist is tasked with upholding cleanliness, safety, and sanitation in all kitchen areas, while also focusing on minimizing waste and optimizing the cost-to-production ratio.


Key Responsibilities:


• Efficiently prepare a range of food items, including meats, seafood, vegetables, and soups, ensuring adherence to portion control and quality standards.
• Familiarize oneself with the kitchen layout, team members, and menu offerings.
• Skillfully manage hot side dishes, vegetable preparations, and grilling techniques.
• Follow precise recipes and plating instructions to guarantee consistency in product quality.
• Maintain an organized and clean environment in all storage areas.
• Complete all necessary food preparations prior to service to ensure timely and efficient guest service.
• Demonstrate proficiency in various cooking methods such as charbroiling, poaching, and roasting.
• Recognize and select high-quality ingredients, including fresh produce and proteins.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workspace, adhering to proper food handling and storage protocols.
• Assist in the breakdown of kitchen operations post-service, ensuring proper storage and sanitation of all equipment and surfaces.
• Uphold safety standards by being knowledgeable about fire safety equipment and practicing safe work habits.
• Support team members in various kitchen roles as needed.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations related to food preparation and storage.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment with a focus on cleanliness and functionality.
• Follow a 'Clean as You Go' policy to maintain an orderly work environment.
