The DevOps Manager will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, focusing on Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, Micro Services, Microsoft 365 SaaS, and Citrix Cloud.

Expertise in development release, scripting in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and cloud automation is crucial for efficient and reliable cloud operations.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of our cloud-based systems.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a DevOps strategy aligned with company goals and industry best practices.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on DevOps best practices, providing guidance and support to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of automated DevOps pipelines for build, test, deployment, and monitoring for digital and data applications.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment processes.
  • Develop and automate Azure services provisioning through Azure DevOps pipelines.
  • Identify and prioritize automation opportunities and requirements with the business and IT teams.
  • Document and maintain automation scripts, workflows, and configs using version control systems.
  • Develop system images, including VDI, Server, VM, and Endpoint devices with drivers and firmware.
  • Ensure security and compliance of cloud environments, focusing on data protection and privacy.
  • Provide Tier I/II/III support for application and cloud issues, including configuration, networking issues, performance, software bugs, deployment failures, and more.
  • Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance of containerized applications.
  • Use clear and concise language and format to write technical documentation and DR Runbook.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in a DevOps role or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience leading and managing a team of DevOps engineers in a fast-paced environment, overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to support software development and delivery.
  • Strategic thinking skills with a strong technical background in software development, security, and operations, coupled with exceptional leadership and communication skills.
  • Demonstrates in-depth abilities to implement a comprehensive DevOps strategy to support the development and deployment of modern technologies such as AI.
  • Proven experience as a Cloud Operations Engineer or a similar role, with a focus on Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, Micro Services, Office 365, and Citrix Cloud.
  • Experience with SDLC and rich experience with Deployment pipeline and release, Agile methodologies.
  • Good understanding of network concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, firewall, NAT, and VPN.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud automation and configuration management tools, such as Terraform, Azure Automation, or Ansible.
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture, containerization, and orchestration using Kubernetes.
  • Strong knowledge of IIS, SQL, Apache, Nginx, Envoy.
Work Schedule

TransRe is supportive of an agile work schedule, which may differ based on individual roles, local office practices, and preferences, marketplace trends, and TransRe's business objectives.

This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule with 3 days in the office per week and 2 days remote.

Compensation

In addition to base salary, for this position, TransRe offers a comprehensive benefits package, paid time off, and incentive pay opportunity.

The anticipated annual base salary range in New York for this position, exclusive of benefits, paid time off, and incentive pay opportunity, is $160,000 - $185,000. This range is an estimate and the actual base salary offered for this position will be determined based on certain factors, including the applicant's specific skill set and level of experience.
