Job Title: Truck Mechanic and Shop Assistant
We are seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic and Shop Assistant to join our team at Mongoose Trucking. As a Truck Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of trucks, as well as diagnosing and fixing complex issues.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
- Diagnose and repair complex issues with trucks and equipment
- Assist with repairs and maintenance in the shop
- Work with the team to ensure all trucks are in good working condition
- Participate in regular safety inspections and maintenance
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3+ years of experience as a truck mechanic or in a related field
- CDL license a plus
- Diagnostic and software experience
- Certification of mechanic school or minimum of 3 years of related experience
- Knowledge of Peterbilt tractors and tanker trailers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
