This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity with Save the Water, where you will contribute your time on an ad hoc basis or as required.

Associates must be willing to attend virtual meetings in the EST Time zone and be responsive to emails within 36 hours.

As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to receive a "letter of recommendation" from Save the Water, which can be used for school/university credit and professional references.

Hours worked will be awarded as community service/volunteer hours.

The Role:

This opportunity will provide IT support and report to the Founder & CEO of Save the Water.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical support and troubleshooting IT equipment, such as computers, printers, routers, and network equipment.
  • Assisting with questions regarding IT equipment.
  • Understanding standard operating procedures and processes and applying knowledge as solutions to common technological problems.
  • Assisting with computer maintenance and computer updates.

Requirements include:

  • Experience troubleshooting personal and office desktop and laptop computers and office technology, including Windows, Google Workspace, file sharing, printers, and scanners.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in providing networking, desktop and/or PC administration, and hardware/software support.
  • Effective oral communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with staff inside and outside of the department.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality.
