Job Title: Welder Fitter

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at Aerotek. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing heavy plate welding, repairing steel mill and metal foundry equipment, and working with engineering to ensure quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Heavy plate welding (1" and 3" steel with Flux Core welding)
  • Reading and interpreting mechanical blueprints (detail and assembly)
  • Proficient use of micrometers and precision measuring instruments
  • Operating overhead cranes (up to 50T capacity)
  • Operating fork truck and manlift
Requirements:
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication skills with engineering
