Position Summary:

We are in search of a proactive, resourceful, and customer-oriented individual to fulfill the role of Operations Supervisor. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of departmental and store operations to provide exemplary service to the academic community. You will be responsible for maintaining the operational integrity and merchandising standards of your designated area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support overall store operations in collaboration with the management team.
  • Oversee one or more departments or specific operational functions within the store.
  • Utilize analytical skills and campus knowledge to effectively manage daily operations and make informed decisions.
  • Guide team members in task assignments and project management to ensure efficient workload execution.
  • Engage with customers on the sales floor, addressing inquiries and assisting with purchases as needed.
  • Ensure the sales floor is visually appealing, organized, and clean.
  • Process sales transactions involving various payment methods as required.
  • Availability for full-time work, with a minimum of 30 hours per week, with flexible scheduling to meet store needs.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent movement throughout the store to access various departments and products.
  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods.
  • Regular lifting and occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing.

Compensation and Benefits:

The pay range for the Operations Supervisor position is $19.00 to $26.25 per hour.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience in a retail management or buying role, or completion of the Best Seller Program.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Exceptional customer service skills to effectively match products with customer needs.
  • Basic skills in reading, writing, and accounting are necessary.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
