We are seeking an experienced Colorectal Surgeon to join our academic practice at Thomas Jefferson University. Our team offers a comprehensive range of Colorectal surgical services and is actively engaged in medical student, general surgery resident, and colorectal fellowship education.
Opportunity Details- Replace a 4th colorectal surgeon in a busy clinical academic practice
- Must have a minimum of 3 years clinical practice experience post-fellowship
- Appointment will be at the Assistant/Associate or Full professor level, dependent on qualifications
- High quality academic and clinical program
- Candidates with a proven track record of academic achievement will be prioritized

- High volume colorectal surgery and endoscopy practice
- Close collaboration with Gastroenterology and multiple regional Gastroenterologists
- Participation in General Surgery resident education
- Participation in Colorectal Surgery fellowship program
- Weekly colorectal tumor board/educational conference
- Regional quaternary referral center in addition to busy established in-system referral base
- Medical Degree
- Active Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy (M.D. or D.O.) license in the state of Pennsylvania eligibility required
- Board Certification/Eligibility (American board of Surgery and American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgeons)
- Active DEA license
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum of 3 years clinical practice experience post-fellowship
- Ability to work collaboratively within a clinical team
- Demonstrated professional competence and integrity and ethical conduct of practice
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and effective conflict resolution skills
- Patient focused and committed to providing outstanding and compassionate care and service to all patients
- Strong computer skills and EMR knowledge
