**Opportunity Overview**

  • We are seeking a highly experienced Colorectal Surgeon to replace a 4th surgeon in a busy clinical academic practice.
  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years clinical practice experience post-fellowship.
  • Appointment will be at the Assistant/Associate or Full professor level, dependent on qualifications.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • High volume Colorectal surgery and endoscopy practice with a focus on minimally invasive surgery (MIS).
  • Close collaboration with Gastroenterology and multiple regional Gastroenterologists throughout our health system.
  • Participation in General Surgery resident education and Colorectal Surgery fellowship program.
  • Weekly Colorectal tumor board/educational conference.
  • Regional quaternary referral center with a busy established in-system referral base.
  • Work in conjunction with other subspecialists (Surgical Oncology, Gynecologic Oncology, Urogynecology and Urology).

**Requirements**

  • Medical Degree.
  • Active Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy (M.D. or D.O.) license in the state of Pennsylvania eligibility required.
  • Board Certification/Eligibility (American Board of Surgery and American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgeons).
  • Active DEA license.
  • BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years clinical practice experience post-fellowship.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a clinical team.
  • Demonstrated professional competence and integrity and ethical conduct of practice.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and effective conflict resolution skills.
  • Patient-focused and committed to providing outstanding and compassionate care and service to all patients.
  • Strong computer skills and EMR knowledge.
