The Float Pool at Hartford Hospital, known as the STAR Team, consists of highly experienced and skilled nursing professionals.

Our team is divided into two primary categories: Med/Surg and Critical Care.

The Med/Surg team provides coverage across approximately 18 units, including Step Down units, while our Critical Care RNs primarily support the six ICUs at Hartford Hospital (MICU, SICU, Cardiac ICU, Neuro ICU, and Cardiothoracic ICU).

Our RNs utilize their extensive nursing expertise, along with strong communication and collaboration skills, to integrate seamlessly into various units, ensuring the highest standards of personalized and compassionate care for our patients.

Candidates should possess a minimum of 2 years of recent Acute Care RN experience, with Critical Care experience being preferred.
A degree from an accredited nursing program (BSN Required) is essential.
