Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Post-Anesthesia Care Unit team at UMC Health System. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will play a critical part in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a smooth transition for patients from the operating room to the recovery area.
Responsibilities:- Assess, implement, and evaluate total nursing care for patients in the post-anesthesia phase.
- Provide individualized nursing care to patients, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing various medical procedures.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
- Develop and maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients and families.
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Valid Texas RN License or Eligible Compact License.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required or must be obtained within 3 years of hire.
- PACU or ICU experience preferred.
- CPAN certification preferred.
