Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to fill the role of Charge Nurse at our Regency Integrated Health Services facility. As a key member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the provision of high-quality care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and Document Resident Condition: Conduct regular rounds to observe, assess, document, and report any changes in resident condition.
  • Implement Care Plans: Ensure the implementation of care plans as directed by the physician and nursing team.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed by the physician.
  • Collaborate with Physicians: Conduct rounds with physicians and record visits in clinical records.
  • Narcotic Reconciliation: Perform narcotic reconciliation with incoming and outgoing shifts.
  • Identify and Address Changes in Resident Condition: Identify significant changes in resident condition and take necessary action per facility policies and procedures.
  • Oversee and Monitor Aides: Oversee and monitor the work of aides to ensure high-quality care is provided.
  • Incident and Accident Reporting: Initiate and complete Incident and Accident Reports per facility policy.
  • Discharge Planning: Discharge residents per facility policy.
  • Nursing Assessment: Complete Nursing Assessment for Physician Calls prior to calling the physician on any change in resident condition.
  • Communication: Communicate with resident's point of contact when they ask for a status update or if there is a change in condition.
Qualifications
  • Educational Requirements: Has completed a RN program at an accredited vocational school, college, or university.
  • Licensing Requirements: Must be an active Registered Nurse in the state of Texas in good standing.
  • Experience Requirements: Experience working in a skilled nursing facility is preferred.
