Job Summary:

This position is for a Senior Quality Assurance Specialist within the Tennessee Department of Education. The successful candidate will work with the development teams to ensure that software being developed meets the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Functional testing of software being developed by the agency.
  • Regression testing of software being developed by the agency.
  • Automated unit test creation for software being developed by the agency.
  • Mentoring and guiding junior QA team members in the best practices of QA activities.
  • Identifying exit criteria for each software application being modified.
  • Defining applicable test criteria for applications being developed.
  • Postman and JIRA experience also required.
  • Ensuring that all applications are thoroughly tested and meet minimum standards in areas such as number and severity of known issues, code coverage, automated regression testing, and stress testing.
  • Playing an active role in determining root cause analysis for any issues that were missed during the QA process, in order to ensure remediation plans are put in place.
