About the Role

MGM Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dietary Cook to join our team at our senior living facility. As a Dietary Cook, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents by preparing nutritious and delicious meals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation: Determine types and quantities of meats, vegetables, and soups to be prepared by reviewing planned menus and are timely.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in establishment and maintenance of perpetual supplies inventory, and notifies Dietary Supervisor of shortages or discrepancies.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Consult with Dietary Supervisor regarding use of left-overs, stores, and labels accordingly. Test food temperatures and prepare special nourishment and supplements as instructed by Dietary Supervisor.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise dietary workers when washing, trimming, or preparing food. Assist in training, orientation, and supervision of newly hired dietary staff.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High School diploma or general equivalency is preferred. 1 year of experience is preferred.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Open Communication, Professionalism, Ethical Practice, Relationship Management, and Always maintaining confidentiality.
