Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team at Modern Disposal Services, Inc. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing repair and maintenance work on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and maintain chassis components, refuse bodies, and control systems.
  • Perform engine repair and maintenance, including general engine work, HVAC components, suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems.
  • Identify and repair issues with air brake systems, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
  • Provide road service to ensure safe and efficient operation of company equipment.
  • Complete applicable company training programs and maintain a clean and professional work area.
Requirements
  • Prior experience with maintenance work on Classes 1-5 light/medium duty and heavy-duty Class 7-8 trucks, aircraft, or ships.
  • Valid Driver's License, CDL preferred.
  • Diesel Technical Training preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks, work well as a team member, and independently.
