Under the guidance of the Vice President of Patient Services/Chief Nursing Officer, this role encompasses comprehensive administrative and operational oversight for designated departments. Responsibilities include managing financial resources, human capital, operational efficiency, quality of care, clinical outcomes, and ensuring satisfaction among patients, physicians, and staff. This position is pivotal in change management and other relevant duties associated with the role.
As a member of the management team and Shared Governance Model, the focus is on upholding the mission, vision, and values of Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center while fostering a person-centered approach that enhances patient and family-centered services across the healthcare continuum, thereby improving value-driven outcomes.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Establishes performance standards, policies, and procedures for the areas of responsibility.
- Structures departmental operations in alignment with administrative protocols to deliver specified nursing and patient care services, adhering to organizational and regulatory standards.
- Leads, implements, and manages change initiatives.
- Ensures a safe work environment and cultivates a culture of excellence in customer service.
- Oversees strategic planning and growth initiatives for the assigned departments.
- Advises the Vice President of Patient Services on evaluating proposed changes impacting these departments.
- Directs the implementation of nursing and professional practice standards that support optimal healthcare delivery throughout the patient lifecycle.
- Identifies and leverages opportunities for enhancing customer value.
- Oversees quality patient care and outcomes.
- Monitors patient, physician, and staff satisfaction levels.
- Collects and analyzes performance data to drive improvements.
- Collaborates with the management team to promote the Mission, Vision, and Values of Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center, including the creation and editing of marketing and public relations materials such as brochures, flyers, fact sheets, biographies, and correspondence.
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum of seven (7) years of nursing experience, including at least three (3) years in progressive management roles, is required.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Georgia or NLC/eNLC Multistate License is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred. A Master's Degree in Nursing or a related field is also preferred.
